CIDCO colloquium 2021… towards hydrospatial? 

A virtual colloquium

It is with great pleasure that we announce that the CIDCO will hold its colloquium this year! It will take place virtually from Monday, March 15 to Friday, March 19, 2021.

To see the program of the conference click here! A simultaneous translation service will be available throughout the colloquium.

The conferences are scheduled from 8:00 am to 11:00 am (Quebec time). The remaining time of the morning will be used for professional matchmaking.

When you register you will receive a link to fill out your twinning questionnaire which will facilitate exchanges and give you the chance to meet other partners.

Dear COLC Community,

2021 is here and so is the start of the UN Decade of Ocean Science for Sustainable Development. This time also marks the long awaited finish line of our collective two-year journey to co-develop a national ocean literacy strategy.

….insert drumroll….

We will also be launching the Implementation Plan: Pathways for Collaboration, an accompanying document to the Strategy, and the Canadian Ocean Literacy Map and Database, an interactive digital resource to highlight and track the growing number of ocean literacy initiatives taking place across the country.

This event will include simultaneous interpretation (Eng/Fr), and is free and open to all.

Feel free to use the official Save the Date postcards, available to download in English and in French (be sure to right-click and hit “Save image as…”) to circulate with your networks. You can also keep your eyes peeled for our social media posts and share them widely!

L’arrivée de 2021 marque le début de la Décennie des Nations Unies pour les sciences océaniques au service du développement durable. Elle marque aussi l’étape finale, tant attendue, de nos efforts collectifs au cours des deux dernières années visant le co-développement d’une stratégie nationale de la connaissance de l’océan. Ainsi…

Nous lancerons également le plan de mise en oeuvre, un document pour accompagner la Stratégie, et la Carte et base de donnée de la connaissance de l’océan, une ressource numérique interactive qui permet de visualiser et suivre la croissance d’initiatives reliées à la connaissance de l’océan à travers le pays.

 

L’événement offrira de l’interprétation simultanée (FR/ANG). La participation est gratuite et ouverte à tous.

 

Plus de détails seront partagés dans les prochaines semaines ainsi que le lien officiel pour se joindre à l’événement – restez à l’affût! Veuillez également vous servir des invitations pour réserver la date, disponibles en anglais et en français (n’oubliez pas de faire un clic droit et choisir “Enregistrer l’image sous…”), pour circuler dans vos réseaux.
